Healing Inside-Out vs. Outside-In

Let’s talk about the “outside-in” versus “inside-out” approach to life.
The outside-in mindset is a common theme in our society. It’s the belief that the solution to a problem lies outside of ourselves—that our healing, power, or success comes from a pill, a potion, or an expert, rather than from within.
From my perspective, when we give our power away to outside sources, we disconnect from our life force—and we lose touch with our true source of healing.
We’ve been conditioned to believe that our immune system needs to be supported by something outside of us. That our health depends on a prescription or an injection, instead of tapping into what we were naturally given.
But we weren’t just dropped into this life, naked and defenseless.
The Progression from Outside-In to Inside-Out
More and more people are beginning to question the outside-in narrative.
They start with: “Maybe I don’t want to take pharmaceuticals anymore.”
Then: Maybe I should start taking vitamins instead.”
And eventually: “What if I don’t need so many supplements if I just learn to eat properly, reduce stress, and return to a more natural rhythm of life?”
That’s the inside-out approach—and it’s a return to self.
Unconscious Conditioning
There’s a little story about a mom making a ham. She cuts off both ends before putting it in the oven. Her son asks, “Why do you cut the ends off?” She replies, “Because grandma always did.”
Curious, he asks grandma. Grandma says, “Because my mother did.”
Finally, they ask great-grandma. Her answer? “Because my pan was too small.”
Three generations later, people are still cutting the ends off the ham—not because they need to, but because they never questioned it.
It’s a simple story, but it speaks volumes about the conditioned behaviors we carry.
On the Life Force Radio podcast, Dr. Lona shares another powerful example.
“I had a vaccine reaction when I was in my very early 20’s. And that was, I think, a crucial wake up call for me when I realized I didn’t want to get this thing, and I let my provider and my mother really influence me to do something that I wasn’t in alignment with which is a part of the outside-in influence.”
These examples make it abundantly clear that we cannot make choices from conditioning, fear, or pressure… There’s another way.
Becoming Conscious of Conditioned Patterns
The first step is becoming aware of beliefs you’ve inherited through deep examination. It’s not about questioning yourself, it’s about getting curious why you operate the way you do— and asking yourself if your methods of operation still align with who you are.
If they don’t, it’s time to consciously choose new patterns. That’s how you move from limitation to liberation, and begin living from the inside-out.
There’s no greater example of conditioned behavior than what we collectively experienced in 2020 and the years that followed. Many people reacted from fear, rather than understanding where immune function truly comes from—or how responsible we each are for maintaining our own health.
Health is an inside job. It does not come from a drug, a potion, or a lotion. It comes from the inside-out.
Reclaiming Your Power to Choose
You deserve to explore. To ask questions. To do your homework on what you’re putting into your body.
If something is not in alignment with your truth, you’re allowed to say no. Because sometimes saying no is actually saying yes to your own power.
Pay attention to what works for your body, your life, and your values. True health begins in alignment and in self-trust.
Whether it’s about vaccines, politics, healthcare choices, or how to raise your children—your beliefs about those things matter. But remember to ask yourself: Did I choose them?
This is where the inside-out effect begins to blossom. It leads you back to your truest, healthiest, most powerful self.
